Have owned this light for 6 months. I use it every night to put the animals up. If you need a great spot light then the 44900 is it. For the money nothing beats it. I have not run the batteries down yet so it has really good run time too.

This light works well for an area light and out to around 75 yds. Identifying an object at longer range is difficult at best. It is quite bright in close proximity and ruggedly built, but not for long range use. The flashlights from Streamlight are better for long range work of seeing or identifying objects.
